Overview:
The MidWinter Weekend is one of two annual events hosted by the Red Wing Collectors Society. CrockFest is held each summer and MidWinter is held midway through the winter. This year, the RWCS asks all members to join them February 1-3, 2024 at the Holiday Inn Northwest in Des Moines, Iowa.
MidWinter promises to give attendees a fun-filled weekend, with all sponsored activities contained under one roof – so there is no need to venture out into the cold! Guests will enjoy three days of Room Sales, Educational Seminars, Social Events, an Auction, and more! For the more adventurous types, visitors may also enjoy exploring the many antique shops in the area around the hotel.
Thursday, Feb 1:
Badge pickup begins Thursday from 2 pm – 4 pm.Room sales officially kick off on Thursday morning throughout the hotel; however, many room sales will likely open on Wednesday (Jan 31). Also on Thursday, the Iowa Chapter invites all registered attendees to attend their annual “Welcome to MidWinter” Social in the evening.
Friday, Feb 2:
Friday morning starts early with Badge pickup and Onsite Registration opening at 8:00 am. Friday is Education Day with seminars running from 9:00 am till 12:00 pm. Education picks up again from 1:30 pm-2:30 pm.
Next, don’t miss the Keynote Speaker beginning at 5:00 pm directly followed by a fantastic Happy Hour and appetizers to wrap up the day.
Saturday, Feb 3:
Saturday morning begins with Badge pickup and Onsite Registration at 8:00 am, as well as the MidWinter Auction preview.
The highly anticipated RWCS MidWinter Auction begins at 10:00 am. The Auction is open to all MidWinter registered attendees and should wrap up in the early to mid-afternoon.
