About Education
Education is a focal point of the RWCS events. Each year the Education Manager puts together an education schedule for both Convention and MidWinter filled with great learning opportunities for members. Education sessions are held on the second day of the Convention, Friday with three or four sessions break out times as Saturday of MidWinter.

Education Sessions are a great way to: hear about the new research about Red Wing, and learn tips and ideas from fellow members.

Video Lending Library
Each year the Education Manager selects sessions to record and add to our library which is available to RWCS Members for free. About Kids View

The Kids View of Red Wing Program began at the Annual Convention in 2000. Kids View is for children ages 3 to 13 years of age. Its goal is to educate and stimulate the youth of the RWCS, as they are the next generation of collectors. Each year the participants are offered a jam-packed schedule of events. Some of the topics in years past have included:

  • Make Your Own Stoneware
  • An auction, both Silent and Bidding interactive with “Red Wing bucks”. All pieces are donated by our generous members!
  • Paint a real Red Wing Plate, just as it was done in the Pottery
  • Starting and displaying a collection
  • Living history presentations

Please register your KidsView participation during the registration process! Walk-ins will only be accepted if we have enough space for them, so the only way to reserve a spot is to register in advance.

Don’t miss this opportunity! Register your child or grandchild today!
