Young Collectors

Young Collector Program 2019
9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, July 10

Goodhue: More than Clay

The Red Wing Collectors Society (RWCS) will partner once again with the Goodhue County Historical Society (GCHS) to offer wonderful educational opportunities to our younger members at Convention.

The Goodhue County Historical Society is celebrating its 150th Anniversary in 2019. Since the RWCS has been a part of that history for more than 40 years, we’re holding all Young Collectors activities at GCHS located at 1166 Oak Street.

Participants ages 13 and up will meet at the GCHS to have a private tour of the museum’s 150th Anniversary exhibit and a behind-the-scenes look at the museum itself. Following the tour, participants will assist with set up for KidsView activities.

Parents/guardians, please drop off and pick up your child at the GCHS, which is located at 1166 Oak Street.

About Young Collectors

This program is for collectors between the ages of 13-20 that might be interested in history, art, and collecting. This program expands on the education and activities of Kids View and offers new advanced education and retention opportunities for young RWCS members who have graduated from Kids View.

The Young Collectors Cub was started at the 2011 Convention by Wendy Callicoat, after her 10 years of partnering with Sue Jones Tagliapietra to develop and launch Kids View. This program consists of educational seminars, field trips, networking, and hands-on experiences.
