Omaha Bake Beans Advertising Bowl

Question:

Hey,  I just bought this at an estate sale for my wife as she has become quite the Red Wing collector. Mostly she has jugs and crocks and even a butter churn. But this is going to be her first bowl. Can you tell me anything of the value or any prominence?

Thank you!

Kevin.

Answer:

Kevin, This bowl in excellent condition could run $150-$250, but with the crack on back its value drops to $75-$125.

12 gallon narrow crock, is actually a stoneware milk can

Question: We are looking for the best way to appraise the value of this 12 gallon wing churn.

Answer:

This narrow 12 gallon crock is actually a stoneware milk can. It would have had a metal ring with 2 handles on each side. Very few are left but demand isn’t that strong for this. A value is hard because demand can change. At this time a value of $1000-$1500 would be a good estimate in excellent condition.

5 gallon Red Wing Beehive Jug

Question:

Answer:

Pat, The damage brings down the value to around $150-$200. Without the oval brings down the value also. It’s a pretty jug.
