Question:
second time: can someone tell me if there is a difference in value if the color of the wing marking on dinnerware items is different. Red, Blue, Black or Green, is there any difference because the color of a wing on a crock does make a difference. Thank you, we had family members who worked for the company from the 1800’s until closed and would know but they have all passed away.

Red Wing Pottery 2001 – need photo
Question:
I found a pitcher, imprinted on the side with "Red Wing Pottery" 2001. There is also what appears to be a name "Keith" which is imprinted at the base of the handle. Could you tell me anything about this pitcher? Sorry, I tried to upload a picture but it wouldn’t work. The pitcher is brown in color and about a pint capacity. The inside is glazed with a lighter brown. There is nothing on the bottom except three spots where it might have been attached to something in the making process. It has a mottled texture, three sets of lines encircling it and two squiggly or wavey lines which also encircle it. Beverly
Answer: Beverly
I do know the Red Wing name is used by a pottery in Red Wing. They make several different pieces, this would be one of them, with the date 2001. This is not to be confused with the old Red Wing, which quit business in 1967. hope this helps, thanks, steve n rose

DuoTone Gravy Boat
Question:
Hello- First, I really enjoy your website, it is fantastic. I have a couple of red wing dinnerware pieces, which I think are gravy boats. They look similar to the shape of the ‘flight’ pattern but they are the wrong color. Do you know which line they belong to? Also, one has a lid and the other doesn’t, were they both suppose to have lids / covers? Finally, the lid for the one does not fit on the lid to the other (slightly too small, but barely). Did they really have this similar of shape and different lids? They are both approximately 10 1/2 inches x 4 inches. What is an approximate value on these? Thanks so much and again really enjoy the website, very informative! Best, Justin
