Pitcher with grape decoration

Question:
I found this pitcher at an antique store ~ I collect vintage grape items. I can’t figure out the maker ~ the person at the store didn’t know either. Any chance you may know? It appears to be very old as it has lots of crazing but other than that it is in mint condition. There is one marking on the bottom of the pitcher. The pitcher stands 8 1/2 inches tall. Thanks! Donna

Answer: I know this is not Red WIng but maybe you might be able to id it.

Can’t be of help with the maker, sorry. I don’t recognize the signature. Crazing can be a glaze effect, it’s not a sure sign of age. Wish I could be of more help, thanks, steve n rose

Rumrill Ball Pitcher 547

Question:
I have a Rumrill Ball Pitcher #547 – white with crudely painted red lines. Unglazed bottom. Has someone painted over the original pitcher.

Answer: I haven’t seen a factory cold paint done on one of these, so my guess is someone decided to "spruce" it up on their own. A little scrubbing should take off the red paint. They date to the late thirties, and have a value of around 70.00. thanks, steve n rose
