Question:
Hi Al, I have a Red Wing crock, about one gallon in size, that has an almost reddish color to it. Is this uncommon? It has the original lid (I think). The bottom is impressed "Red Wing Stoneware Co." There are no cracks or chips. I was wondering if the reddish color was rare and what the value might be. Thanks for the service you provide! Barb

Question:
We have acquired these pieces of stoneware and were wondering if you think they were made by Red Wing Stoneware. There is a similiar design on a jug with a leaf on p.29 of Warman’s Red Wing Pottery Book that made us wonder if the jug might be Red Wing. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you for providing this great service! Jason

Capistrano pattern
Question:
In the early 60’s I began purchasing Red Wing "dinnerware" for my hope chest (does that date me?) Before I could complete the set I was told that the pattern had been discontinued. I have 8 large dinner plates, 8 bread and butter plates and 8 cups and saucers. I recently became curious and began searching to see if I could acquire additional pieces. I found your web site. I cannot identify the pattern. Can you provide some information to me on this particular pattern and whether it is worth anything? Thanks for your assistance and Happy Holidays! :-) P.S. since it appears I can only upload one file, the back of the bread and butter plate states Red Wing Hand Painted Ovenproof U.S.A. 121 Carolyn
