I have a cream colored, matte glazed vase with handles on the sides, very clearly stamped "Redwing USA 851" on the bottom. It’s in excellent shape except for some light stains on the inside of the rim. It’s 10" high, and the top of the vase is 9" in diameter, perfectly round. can send a picture if it would help. thank you!

I have a ashtray that i purchased 2 years ago it is in the shape of the redwing, red in color it says on the back "Red Wing pottery 75th 1878-1953 anniversary" could you give some information on it? Thanks Tim

I think the wing shape was done for a few years, this one is from 1953. A few other ashtrays were marked similiar to recognize red wings 75th anniversary. They usually sell for around 70.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose

Chef Pierre Cookie Jar

In our kitchen now sits one of my husband’s favorite childhood memories: a Red Wing Pottery cookie jar – it is a rotund baker with apron, hat and watch chain in a light mustard color, and absolutely pristine condition. It is such a joy to behold! Any idea when it made or where? He was born In was born (’46) and raised in Glendale (adjacent to L.A. Calif.)

they were designed in 1947, and are attributed to charles murphy. Colors really don’t effect the price of this item, unless of course, you don’t have one in this color!

2009 RWCS Convention Crock Hunt

2009 RWCS Convention

CROCK HUNT!

Get your Ballot in the Convention Supplement included in the Wednesday, July 8 Repubican Eagle or in your Attendee Packet!

The Crock Hunt begins on Wednesday, July 8th. Both Red Wing Collectors Society Member and non members are eligible to participate in the 2009 RWCS Convention Crock Hunt. Participants must locate each display pictured site during regular business hours to match the business logo and photo. Participants must obtain an employee initials (or other mark chosen by the site) from each site.
 
Winners drawn will have their forms checked to insure that answers are correct before a prize is awarded. Winners do not need to be present to win. Completed forms must be brought to Central Park Band Shell by 6:00pm on Friday, July 10 to be included for prize drawing(s).
 
Participating businesses must feature at least one piece of old or new Red Wing pottery in their picture. The business logo will not be included in the picture. Both the photo and business logo will be printed at random on the Crock Hunt form published in the Convention Supplement and Attendee Packet.
 
The display must be set up by Tuesday, July 7 before the crock hunt begins on Wednesday, July 8th. They may choose to have additional drawings or prizes associated with their crock hunt site.
