Question:
A few years back I obtained a few different pieces of Red Wing after always having mostly churns, crocks and jugs One of the items is a yellow vase about 6 1/2 in high with Red Wing and 794 stamped on the bottom – it is smooth with a raise area on both the front and the back of the vase with some smooth ridges on the sides and the middle.
I also have what looks like a serving bowl with flowers and leaves on it- it says RedWing and handpainted on the bottom of the bowl-drk pink flowers with small blue bell type flowers and green/dk pink leaves and its about 8 1/2 in wide and abt 9 in long.
Tthe last piece was a Beater Jar – Eggs- Cream – SAlad DRessing on the font of it-4 1/2 in tall. Thanks for any info you can share with me. Brenda
Art Pottery answer: Hi Brenda
could you check the number on the vase for me? it doesn’t match up with anything I have. the other 2 questions are dinnerware and stoneware, I will get them forwarded on to the right experts. thanks, steve n rose
Dinnerware answer: Red Wing made nearly 100 dinnerware patterns and many of them featured floral designs. From the description this is likely a nappy or vegetable bowl. It might be from the Orleans pattern but such a bowl would be round, not oval. A photo is needed to make a positive ID. You can visit www.RedWingDinnerware.com
Stoneware Answer: Brenda, your Red Wing beater jar was produced in the 1920’s & 30’s. In mint condition, the value today is around $80. Hope this is what you are looking for. Al Kohlman
