Red Wing Stoneware Co albany slip shoulder bowl – milk pan

Question:
Hey folks! Great resource you have here! I’ve had this sweet bowl for a while, and always wondered about the RWSCo on the bottom..then I Googled it:) Any, any info would be great. It is about 7" diameter, with a nice brown glaze. The inside middle has a small "dimple" as if it was attached to something when it was made. Thanks!

Answer: You have a Red Wing Milk Pan. These were produced in the by just about all the other stoneware companies as well as Red Wing. The RWSC. stands for "Red Wing Stoneware Company. They came in many sizes and were in the Red Wing catalogs before 1906 and produced until the 1930’s. Value in perfect condition is around $60. The reason for the low value is do to the large number of these milk pans made. Al Kohlman
