Can you help me identify this 5 gal. crock? It has no markings other than the cobalt ones shown in the pic. I think it is salt glaze, although it is not brownish like my other salt glaze crocks, rather, it is greyish. It has handles similar to my other salt glaze crocks, too. No cracks or chips, brown interior glaze. What causes the yellow spots in front? Thank you in advance for your time and effort. Sandra

Answer: Sandra, your 5 gallon salt glazed crock is not Red Wing. Though I have seen this decoration before, I have no idea of it’s history or value. Sorry, Al Kohlman
