Hi. I recently purchased this crock jar. I believe it is a wax sealer. Could this possibly be a North Star piece? It looks almost identical to one I found in an old RW book. I’m not absolutely positive but it looks like there might be a star on the bottom. It is 7 1/2 inches tall and 19 inches in circumference and I paid $25 for it. Can you tell me a value on it and if it is NS or Red Wing? Thanks for your assist. Gary

Answer: Gary with no markings on your jar, it could have been made my a number of different stoneware companies. It could very well be Red Wing or North Star, but it is hard to tell as many of these were produced by just about every pottery. Not being marked, I would think that $25 is a fair value. Al Kohlman
