We have recently acquired a 40 gallon Red Wing crock and we’re wondering what’s it worth? There is no lid with it. It’s in very good condition with no visible cracking and has been used every year for making sauerkraut by my inlaws. The seal at the bottom says Union Stoneware Co., Red Wing, Minn. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Answer: You have a very nice looking and well marked 40 gallon Birch leaf crock. With what I can see, the value would be in the area of $1000 to $1500. Nice piece! Al Kohlman
