i have a 4 gallon birch leaf unstamped crock. i am wondering what the black spots are on it. it feel like they are under the glaze. does not feel like tar or paint or marker. any ideas? Thank you Lucas

Answer: Lucas, the black spots under the glaze can come from imperfections in the glaze, or clay. There is nothing you can do to the piece to remove them. Al Kohlman
