Question:
I am attaching a photo of a #8 Redwing. According to the oval I believe it was made between 1909 & 1915 (RED WING at top of oval and Union Stoneware Co with line above & below thru middle of oval.) Am I correct in the year and can you give me an estimated value? Nice condition with no chips, cracks, etc – just needs cleaned.

Answer: You were close on the manufacturing dates. Your crock was made between 1912 & 1915. Value in mint condition with what I see here (very nice stenciling, balanced and dark) is between $150 & $175. Al Kohlman
