Question:
I found this 4 Gallon Birch leaf Churn a couple months ago in Rochester… Paid $300. Look at the leaf and oval… they are reversed. I have never seen an oval over Leaf in any of the Red Wing books. The Crock is mint, no cracks or chips or hairlines… and the lid is mint too. Picture is provided. Can I tell my wife this is a keeper? Please advise. -Scott

Answer: Scott, nice looking 4 gallon churn. The reversed oval birch leave churns are out there, they are just not as common as the others. Your churn with mint lid would have a value between $400 & $425. Yes it is a keeper. Al Kohlman
