I have attached pictures of this mug I bought today at a garage sale. Is it a real Red Wing? I thas the red wing stamp on the bottom of it. This form only allows me to attach one photo so I can’t send more pictures. Can you tell me more about it? Thank you. Karen

Answer: This is not a vintage Red Wing item. If the ink stamp on the bottom of this mug is blue and has a wing inside a circle, it was made by the "new" Red Wing Stone Ware company. This pottery is located on the northern outskirts of Red Wing and has been in business since the early 1990s. The original Red Wing Potteries closed in 1967.
