Question:
just got two dark brown a little iridescent bowls (sugar?) they look a little like red wing style but i dont see any marks. one picture shows the circular dish from the side and the other one the square from the top. I didn’t pay much so it won’t be a big deal if they are not, but i am hoping for the best. thanks for your time! Anna
Answer: Your bowls were made by Red Wing and are from the Concord line of dinnerware. Metallic brown bowls would go with several Concord patterns and would be determined by the design on the cover. Apparently your bowls do not have the covers. The round bowl is a sugar bowl; the squarish bowl is a cream soup. With covers these bowls would be worth $10-15 each; without covers the value would be about $5.
