About the Convention:
The RWCS Convention starts officially on Thursday of Convention Week. However, there are many events and activities going on in Red Wing before the Red Wing High School Convention site opens!
Sunday: Traditionally the RWCS Foundation Outdoor Antique Show in downtown Red Wing, MN. Rise and Shine early to find that piece of Red Wing to complete your collection!
Monday: The first day of the week that sellers begin to set up their booths at the Pottery Place Mall as well as many driveways and garages all around Red Wing. With these sales open the hunt begins! In addition to this their may even be an auction in or in a neighboring community to Red Wing.

Tuesday/Wednesday: The hunt at the antique shops, garage sales, street sales continue. Chapters start to gather and members ready for the first day of Convention. The highlight is the Annual Pottery Place Mall Brat Feed on Wednesday with Pre-Registered RWCS Convention Attendees can pick up their attendee packets and badges.

Thursday: The first full day of Convention activities at the Red Wing High School. The schedule begins with unveiling of the Annual Convention Commemorative, followed by the Opening Welcome and the Keynote Speaker, and then the Members Only Auction. During the Auction is the first opportunity for members to view the Displays and Rare Items being shown at the Convention by members. In addition to these activities there is a bus tour of Red Wing, first day of Kids View, Chapter Meetings, and Orientation for First Timers to Convention.
Friday: The jam packed Education Sessions open to all members registered for Convention. More then 15-25 sessions for attendees to choose from. There is not only education for adult attendees but there is a hands on all day program for children: Kids View. In addition, to the wonderful Education Sessions there members have the opportunity to see pottery demonstrations, participate in the People’s Choice Judging for the Displays and Rare items.

The Potter’s Picnic
Each year participants in the picnic get great food, entertainment and the opportunity to win great door prizes. The children who come to the pick get the opportunity to make their own creations with Red Wing Clay.
Saturday: Show and Sale
The last day of Convention and the high school gym filled with over 150 seller’s tables of all kinds of Red Wing Pottery. In addition, to the Show & Sale there is the Commemorative Lottery for all pre-registered attendees. Convention Week ends with a relaxing banquet.
