Red Wing B1402
Question:
I just purchased a planter marked Red Wing USA/B1402. It is light "rusty-orange" on the outside and mint green on the inside. It measures 3 and a half inches high, 7" long and 3" wide. There is a band of leaves around it and the top edge is scalloped. Do you have any info. about this planter? Thanks Regina

Answer: The 1402 planter was designed by Belle Kogan, circa 1951. The glaze is probably copper, lined with green. Popular shape, they are fairly common. Value around $20.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose
