25 gallon double birch leaf squat crock with pedal lid, Minnesota Stoneware
Question:
I have a 25 gallon union stoneware company crock, with four birch leaves on it. The numbers are written more in a cursify way.It also has what i think is a redwing lid. The crock is in very very good condition. There are no cracks. I was wondering the price of the crock and lid together and seperate would be? Also can you give me a date of when they were made? Kayla

Answer: Kayla, your Minnesota Stoneware Company 25 gallon crock was manufactured between 1895 & 1906. The value of the crock without the lid is between $325 & $400. The 25 gallon squat birch leaf crocks are a little hard to find and yours has absolutely wonderful markings. Now your lid is Red Wing and 25 gallon lids are tough to find as well. However, the salty top on a zinc glaze lid is not very desirable among the Red Wing collectors. In mint condition the way it looks here, around $200 for the lid. Hope this helps. Al Kohlman
