Question:
 Hello! In the process of cleaning out my grandmother's garage attic, I came across a 4G crock (pic attached). It very closely resembles the Red Wing crock; however, there are no markings and I have a few concerns. First, the handles do not appear to be in the correct position for a RW. In addition, the crock is a gray/blue color. I am certain this is old, as no one has dared go into the attic in nearly 50 years. The only chip is seen in the picture and there are no cracks. Question:
 I have a 5 gallon jug with a 2.25" wing and a 1.25" circle stamp that says "Red Wing Union Stoneware Co Red Wing Minn." The stamp is pathetically faint, and on the bottom edge, the jug has a 1.5" chip and a 1.5" u-shaped crack. Is this a garage sale/$10 piece? |
