Question:
please tell me about a blue vase 8 & 13/16 in. high with two handles at top 3 1/2in. long at outer edges & because I'm uneducated as to proper terms to use I will just say the blue seems to be a glaze & is not a solid blue, but is mottled as in darker places then lighter then even taupe-ish places. on bottom within a blue circle says "number 155 red wing ware". thank you in advance for any help from you. njh
Answer: Hello, your item came in 3 sizes, with this being the smallest. It's from around 1930. The glaze may be dark blue or "cobalt", it kind of varies in thickness, giving it an uneven look. Value is around 90.00. thanks, steve n rose |

Question:
Hello! I got this vase at an antique store and have no idea what it's worth or how old it is. It's not in the best condition. It has a somewhat large crack running down one side of it (as shown in the picture), two or three more cracks around the top that are less visible, and a few tiny speckles where the glaze is missing on the other side. The bottom says "1359 Red Wing U.S.A." It is 8 in. tall and 5 in. across (not including the handles). Thanks so much for your time!
Answer: We call it the teacup vase, it was made around 1949. not much value with the large crack. mint it would be around 40.00. thanks, steve n rose |

Question:
I recently found this vase. It's very interesting and it looks to be pretty old. I was wondering what it's worth and how old it is? It has a small crack near the top but it's nothing serious. There is a blue stamp on the bottom that has the number 159 and the name Red Wing Ware. The number is also engraved on the bottom. The inside of the vase is aqua green.
Answer: This vase comes in 3 different sizes, 9, 12 and 15". It was made circa 1930, part of the early artware line. Value 75-175 depending on the size. thanks, steve n rose |

Question:
I bought this stork umbrella stand in Wisconsin about 15 years ago and have been able to find very little info on it. I believe it is fairly rare and maybe difficult to price, but i would appreciate your estimate on its value. Shortly after finding this one, a similar piece was featured on the Oct/Nov 1993 RW newsletter. Any idea how many pieces are in existance? Thanks.
Answer: It is an early Red Wing item, and fairly rare. These are usually unglazed. Value should be 1000.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose |
