MN Centennial Trivet, green

Question:
We recently purchased this item at an auction. It was at the bottom of a box of junk. We thought we had found a treasure. We are wondering exactly what it might be, and what it may be worth. The item measures about 6 3/4 inches in diameter and appears to be in very good condition, with the exception of some color fading on the raised letters and edges. It is a minnesota centennial piece and has a green glaze color.

Answer: Hi, This is a trivet. Nice item to find, I think they sell for around 80.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose

Vase with leave decoration

Question:
I'd like to know about the rarity and value of vase 1102. It's a dusty blue color and the leaves that form both decoration and handle are violet. There are no cracks or chips, nor any crazing. There is a manufacturing error on one side which is under the color and glaze. It looks like a scrap piece of clay became attached before firing. I can send you a good picture of this area but thought it best to show the whole vase with this question. Thanks for your help!

Answer: Hi, the flaws are fairly common, don't worry about those. It's from around 1942, hand painted group. Value is around 45.00. thanks, steve n rose
