Kids View

The KidsView of Red Wing Program began at the Annual Convention in 2000. Due to its popularity, a MidWinter GetTogether KidsView began in 2007. KidsView is for children ages 3 to 15 years of age. Its goal is to educate and stimulate the youth of the RWCS, as they are the next generation of collectors. Each year the participants are offered a jam packed schedule of events. Some of the topics in years past have included:
  • Make Your Own Stoneware
  • Auction, both Silent and Bidding interactive with "Red Wing bucks". All pieces are donated by our generous members!
  • Paint a real Red Wing Plate, just as it was done in the Pottery
  • Starting a collection and show your display
  • Living history presentations

For more information please contact Sue Jones Tagliapietra or Wendy Callicoat, the KidsView Program Coordinators.

RWCS Commemorative History & Values

The annual RWCS Convention Commemorative has long been on of the Society’s most treasured traditions. Almost from the beginning of the organization, the release of the annual Commemorative has been a highly anticipated event and a focal point of the Convention.
The Annual Commemorative is only available to Current members of the RWCS. Members can order to have their Commemorative mailed or picked up at the Convention. No commemoratives are available for sale after the convention.

20th Anniversary Red Book

For the 20th Anniversary of the RWCS, a book detailing all the previous commemoratives was produced. The book was written in large part by Larry Roschen, the Commemorative Manager at the time. The book was published by Nicol Knappen and Ekerby Publishing and Production Services, who have provided a PDF version of the book which can be viewed by clicking here.
